Picker shaft | ||
| Construction and function: The VHV picker shaft breaks compacted lumps of pressed material and loosens the conveyed material as it passes along on the belt. The picker shaft is an independent device mounted on the top of cleated or flat conveyor belts. The beaters, which are covered with a hard metal shell, are bolted onto a shaft that rotates with high velocity to break compressed lumps of the conveyed material. The beaters are reinforced to prevent distortion, and the hard metal covers are easy to replace. Vibration to the conveyor frame is minimized by a balanced beater assembly, the massive machine frame, and flexible mounts. The internal surfaces of the picker shaft box are covered by a non-stick highly wear resistant lining. The inspection door is also covered by a non-stick highly wear resistant lining. Speed is adjustable via the V-belt drive so that the output is appropriate for the conveyed material |
